Mary Blair Braxton (Mrs. George Braxton III, 1734-1799)

Mary Blair Braxton was the daughter of John and Mary Munroe Blair. She married George Braxton in 1753.

Dimensions: 36 1/2 x 29 1/2 in. (92.71 x 74.93 cm.)

The subject wears a white, Van Dyck-inspired gown with a pink bow at her breast. She wears pearls, ribbon, and a black feather in her hair. Her right hand is on her bow. She stands parallel to the frame.
