Elizabeth Todd Seaton married Augustine Moore around 1714. They lived at Chelsea Plantation. She was the mother of Bernard Moore, Lucy Moore, and Thomas Moore. The family portraits descended together at Chelsea. It is unclear which of her children is pictured with her.

The portrait represents a woman wearing a blue dress. She is turned three-quarters to her right. A young child is sitting her lap. The child wears a yellow gown and points with their right hand towards their mother and holds a peach in their left hand. The woman’s right hand is around the child’s shoulder and her left hand also holds the peach. A red curtain is behind her. Behind the child is a window with a landscape view.
