Unknown Griffin family member

Leroy Griffin (1710/11-1750) was married to Mary Ann Bertrand and the father of Samuel Griffin. He reportedly owned 5 family portraits in 1750 and they were still in his home in North Farnham Parish, Richmond County in 1761. It is likely that Leroy Griffin and his wife were two of the subjects.

Reference: “5 family Pictures & coat of arms” listed in Leroy Griffin’s probate inventory, 1750. They appear again in Thomas Griffin’s 1761 inventory taken at the order of the Orphans Court. Thomas was guardian to Leroy’s children. Both in Gunston Hall Probate Inventory Database. Originals in Richmond County Will Book, 5, pp.635-38, and 6, pp.287-90.
