The portrait represents two children in a landscape. A young girl sits and is turned towards her left where her brother stands. She wears a gown trimmed with lace. Her right hand holds up a rose. Her left hand gestures towards flowers in her lap. A dog is on her left. The dog looks up toward a young boy who rests his right hand on the dog’s head. The boy is dressed in a trimmed gown. The canvas is an unusual size.
