Mann Page II (1718-1778)

Date: 1735-1744

Mann Page II was the son Mann Page and Judith Carter Page. He finished building Rosewell Plantation after his father’s death. His first wife was Alice Grymes and his second wife was Anne Corbin Tayloe. The subject was also painted by John Wollaston.

Dimensions: 45 x 35 in (114.3 x 88.9 cm.)

The subject wears a dark red coat and waistcoat and a white wig. His left hand is gloved and holds his other glove. His right hand is bare and rests on a stone plinth. A dark curtain is on the right side of the painting.
