The portrait represents two children outdoors. On the right, a young girl sits. She wears a blue dress with a porcelain doll wearing a gold dress in her lap. On the left, a boy wears a brown jacket with silver buttons, brown trousers, and a pink waistcoat trimmed with silver. A queue ribbon is visible behind his neck. A red cardinal is perched on his left hand and his right hand holds a ribbon tied to the bird. The children are angled towards each other.
